About Us

Cameron Hanover is an independent energy research firm specializing in price risk analysis. Its flagship publication, the Daily Energy Hedger, is read by producers, end users, financial professionals, and independent distributors worldwide. Here, Mr. Beutel leverages his twenty plus years of industry experience to assess and put in perspective the macro changes affecting the energy markets.

Cameron Hanover was founded on the principle of unbiased research provided by a company that does not make money on transactions conducted by clients. Cameron Hanover sells its advice, and does not make money through client activity. This, we believe, keeps the advice unbiased and clean.

Peter Beutel is founder and president of Cameron Hanover, which specializes in helping companies understand and manage energy risk. Mr. Beutel previously worked for a number of trading and brokerage firms, including EF Hutton, Gill & Duffus, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Elders IXL, and, most recently, Merrill Lynch. He has more than 30 years in brokerage, trading and analysis.
