PRECIOUS METALS: Gold Falls in Asia on Profit-Taking
Gold was lower amid light profit-taking in Asia Friday, and stayed in a range amid expectations that prices will remain confined to a tight band in the near term.
Spot gold was trading at $1,611.94 a troy ounce at 0445 GMT, down 0.3% from its previous close.
Gold is reluctant to move out of its $20-comfort zone centered around $1,610/oz, but risks retesting the lower end, ANZ analysts said in a note.
